Raycast
Raycast is Spotlight on steroids. A single keyboard shortcut opens a command bar that can launch apps, search files, control Spotify, manage windows, convert units, look up colors, run scripts, and integrate with every tool you use. The extensions store has integrations for GitHub, Jira, Linear, Notion, Slack, 1Password, and hundreds more — all accessible from one search bar. AI features let you chat with LLMs, translate text, and generate content without leaving your workflow. The free tier is genuinely generous. Pro ($8/month) adds AI features, cloud sync, and custom themes. For Mac power users who value speed and keyboard-driven workflows, Raycast is transformative. Once you internalize the shortcuts, you'll feel handicapped on any Mac without it.
