Streaks — The Habit-Forming To-Do List

Streaks is the award-winning habit tracker that has quietly become one of the most beloved productivity apps on the App Store — and for good reason. Unlike generic to-do lists that pile up and guilt-trip you, Streaks is built around one powerful idea: consistency beats perfection. You pick up to 12 daily tasks, and the app helps you build an unbroken chain of completions. Miss a day? The streak resets. That simple mechanic turns abstract goals like "exercise more" or "drink more water" into a daily game you actually want to win. What sets Streaks apart from free alternatives is its deep integration with Apple Health. Tasks like steps walked, calories burned, or mindfulness minutes can sync automatically — so your streak updates without you lifting a finger. The interface is clean, minimal, and satisfying to use: large circular task buttons, a beautiful calendar view of your history, and subtle animations that make checking off a habit feel genuinely rewarding. The app supports up to 12 tasks per day, customizable icons and colors, flexible scheduling (daily, weekdays, weekends, or specific days), negative habits (things to avoid, like skipping the gym), and Siri Shortcuts for hands-free logging. It also has a companion Apple Watch app, so you can log habits right from your wrist without unlocking your phone. After testing Streaks for 30 days across habits ranging from morning journaling to daily Spanish practice, the verdict is clear: it's the most polished, friction-free habit tracker available on iOS. The one-time purchase price (no subscription) makes it an exceptional value compared to the bloated, subscription-gated alternatives. If you've tried and failed to build habits before, Streaks might be the tool that finally makes them stick.
