Sea to Summit Ether Light XT Insulated Sleeping Pad
The Sea to Summit Ether Light XT Insulated is the most comfortable backpacking sleeping pad I've used. Air Sprung Cells create independent chambers that cradle your body like a mattress — no balance-ball feeling, no rolling off the edges. R-5 insulation rating means it handles cold-weather camping down to about 14°F. At 4" thick, it provides real cushioning for side sleepers. The included pump sack inflates it in 3-5 breaths (no dizzy hyperventilating). Weight is reasonable for the comfort: 18.3 oz for the regular size. Packs to about the size of a water bottle. The multi-function valve (inflate, deflate, fine-tune) is easy to use even with cold hands. If comfort is your priority over shaving every ounce, this is the pad.
