Garmin inReach Mini 2

The Garmin inReach Mini 2 is a genuine safety device disguised as a tiny GPS. It sends and receives text messages via the Iridium satellite network — anywhere on the planet, even in the deepest backcountry with zero cell coverage. Interactive SOS with 24/7 Garmin Response Center means help is a button press away. Location tracking lets loved ones follow your trip in real time. Weather forecasts delivered to the device via satellite. At 3.5 oz and smaller than a deck of cards, the weight penalty is negligible. Battery lasts up to 14 days in tracking mode. Requires a satellite subscription ($11.95-$64.95/month). For hikers, climbers, overlanders, or anyone going off-grid, it's the single most important piece of gear you can carry.
